Coach Jimmy played three years of varsity volleyball at Rockville High School and continued at the University of Maryland, competing in club volleyball. Additionally, he brings extensive experience in 9man volleyball, blending diverse styles of play into his coaching.
Now in his third year with MVP, Coach Jimmy has contributed to the 17 Black and 18 Black teams as an assistant coach. He’s also coached with CYC Boomin for two summers, further refining his coaching approach. This season, he will assist with 16 Black and work with Coach Ben to manage travel for the club. Coach Jimmy values adaptability, communication, and player development. His goal is to help athletes grow as players and individuals, preparing them for success on and off the court.
Outside of volleyball, Coach Jimmy enjoys strategy-based activities like board games and chess. He also loves live music and solving complex puzzles, passions that reflect his analytical and creative sides.
Coach Jimmy is a Solutions Architect at Booz Allen Hamilton, currently supporting the F-35 Software Factory. His work emphasizes innovation and teamwork, qualities that influence his coaching.
Having grown up with several MVP coaches and board members, Coach Jimmy has deep ties to the program. His close relationships and shared experiences within the MVP family are central to his role as a coach.
