Coach Tony Malinauskas is currently the head coach for the 16 Black team for 2025-2026. Currently, he coaches Girls Junior Varsity and Boys Varsity at Thomas S. Wootton High School, leading them to two MCPS championships in the past 3 years!
Coach Tony has been playing volleyball since the ball was white and the only other team in the region was NVVA. Once a player for Wootton and MVP (some would say the greatest player in the history of either program), as a coach he has led Wootton’s JV Girls and Varsity Boys for ten or so years, caterwauling on the bench for the Girls Varsity the entire time. His club experience has been with MEVC as a 16s and 14s coach. He hopes one day to see Boys volleyball played at the Maryland State level, but he’ll settle for not being called “Paul” by strangers at volleyball events instead.
