Coach Kaler is the Head Coach of MVP 17 Red for the 2024-2025 season. Coach Kaler has an extensive background in international volleyball. His playing career spans multiple countries, beginning in Turkey where he competed at school, club, and professional levels, including for the U18 national team. Coach Kaler continued to play at the university and club levels in England, and later at the adult club level in Japan, gaining international experience across different volleyball cultures.
Coach Kaler’s coaching journey started at the Washington International School, where he coached from 2017 to 2021. He joined the Maryland Volleyball Program for the 2021-22 season, bringing his global perspective to the development of our young athletes.
Outside of volleyball, Coach Kaler is a Project Evaluation Consultant at the World Bank. He is married and has two sons—one currently in college and the other in 11th grade. His experience, both on and off the court, adds depth to his coaching approach, helping him guide players to success while fostering personal growth.
