Coach Elizabeth Hsieh is a former standout volleyball player who brings a wealth of experience to MVP. During her time at Thomas S. Wootton High School (2016-2020), she was a four-year varsity starter and team captain, earning all-county first team selections as a junior and senior along with All-Met honors. Coach Elizabeth helped lead the Patriots to their first county title in over a decade and multiple state playoff appearances.

She continued her volleyball career at Johns Hopkins University (2020-2024) as a Defensive Specialist/Libero where the Blue Jays made NCAA appearances every year, culminating in quarterfinal appearances in her junior and senior seasons.

This will be her first foray into coaching a team, but previously Coach Elizabeth has worked for the JHU Premier Volleyball Winter and Summer Camps, helping coach youth athletes at that level.

Coach Elizabeth’s connection to MVP runs deep as she is currently coached by Coach Becca for CYC’s Women’s team and has played with 15 Black’s Head Coach Fatima during her time at Wootton. Additionally, former MVP coaches Thanh and Phil Huang first introduced her to the sport. She graduated from Johns Hopkins in 2024 with a degree in Computer Science and currently works as a Software Engineer.
