Coach Emily Hallam is the Head Coach for MVP 13/14 Red, with a rich history in both playing and coaching volleyball. She began her playing career at Kennedy High School (1993–1997), where she started as a setter before expanding her skills to cover all positions after high school. Coach Emily played one season of club volleyball at the University of Maryland College Park and spent many years competing with CYC before transitioning to coaching. She has also played in various adult leagues over the years.
Coach Emily’s extensive coaching experience includes one season of club at UMCP, coaching both women’s and men’s teams for CYC, and a decade-long tenure at Li Ming Chinese School. She also coached the varsity girls’ and boys’ volleyball teams at Einstein High School from 2007 to 2017. She has worked with U12 girls’ teams (formerly CAC), and run youth leagues for the City of Gaithersburg and Montgomery County. Additionally, she has conducted clinics and summer camps for Montgomery and Howard counties for many years.
Having lived most of her life in Montgomery County, Emily now resides in Germantown.
