Coach Paul Chin is currently serving as the Assistant Coach for MVP 17 Black. His playing career spans decades, starting with MVP (1988–1991), Kennedy High School (1987–1991), and the University of Maryland College Park Men’s Club Team (1991–1995). He has also competed extensively in the 9-man volleyball scene for teams like CYC and MVP.
Coach Paul has led teams at various levels, including MVP 15-1 and MVP 16-Black in the 2021–2022 season and MVP 18-Black in 2022-23. In addition to volleyball, he has coached youth basketball and is known for his ability to develop young athletes across multiple sports. His coaching experience is rooted in both his deep understanding of the game and a commitment to fostering teamwork and player growth.
Coach Paul balances his coaching responsibilities with his professional career as the Deputy Director of the Application Development Division at the Department of Justice. He is a dedicated family man, married to his wife Nancy, with three children: JP, Hayden, and Tori, all active in their own school sports.
